ATHLETICS: first football game of the year - spirit night

The first football game of the year is always a time for Husky fans to cheer on our team as they take on cross-town rival, Sage Hill. ASB did a great job of decorating the field and stands, and all Husky fans who wore any Prep attire or green & black got in free to the game in honor of Spirit Night!

Although the Huskies fell in a close game to the Lightning, it was a great game, and a great start to the football season.

The cheer squad did a great job at the first game.

Go Huskies!

Signs for all of the players.

More Husky fans!

Thanks, ASB, for making Spirit Night a huge success!

We'll get 'em next year, Huskies!

STUDENT ACTIVITIES: back-to-school rally

"I've got a feeling... tonight's gonna be a good night!" The theme of the 2010 back to school rally centered around the Black Eyed Peas song, "I've Gotta Feeling," in honor of the first home football game later the same day as the rally. ASB coordinated a "flash mob" dance including our cheerleaders, faculty, and freshmen to surprise the crowd during the rally. The "Original" Mike Smith gave an inspirational keynote to kick off the school year and rally, and inspired us all to be more involved in our school. We wrapped up the day with our annual back-to-school BBQ and enjoyed a concert from the live band, Letters Burning. Welcome back to school, Huskies!

STUDENT ACTIVITIES: husky-lympics obstacle course

To kick off the school year, ASB planned the 2nd annual Husky-Lympics obstacle course challenge today on the first Friday of the school year. Students and faculty competed in their advisory groups in a series of fun (and funny!) activities. What a great way to start the year!
