ATHLETICS: soccer & basketball teams travel to catalina island

Varsity Girls Basketball
Our Lady Huskies had a safe and competitive trip to Catalina. They played hard yet came up short in both games. Kelly T.’s hustle and teamwork were noticeable all weekend. Sam S. played hard and was the leading scorer 20 points for the weekend. Good work ladies.

Varsity Girls Soccer
This past weekend, Girls Varsity Soccer, along with the boys soccer and all basketball teams, went to Catalina Island to play Avalon High School. They boarded a boat early Friday morning, to play an afternoon game. As usual, the girls put up a strong fight. After the game, the girls got a chance to eat dinner and hang out. With good conversation and good food, they really enjoyed each other's company, especially with Coach Kunkle's awesome snacks! The next morning the girls came out even stronger and more aggressive for a second game. They explored Avalon for the rest of the morning and were reluctant to leave the beautiful island.

The season's coming to an end in a couple of weeks, but these lady huskies are still growing stronger! There's plenty of more games to come and support girl's soccer. They will be playing on Tuesday vs. TVT and on Friday vs. Saddleback Valley Christian. Go Huskies!
