WEEK IN REVIEW: january 24-28

Club Leadership Workshop
On Thursday, January 27 nearly 50 Prep students attended a day-long workshop to improve personal leadership skills and learn valuable tools to help the clubs they are a part of. The Prep boasts a long list of active clubs, with 50 registered for the 2010-11 school year. Jill Esplin from Leading for Life spent the day with Prep club and ASB leaders, and students left energized and excited to take their club participation to the next level. "By teaching of the four main personalities that teenagers fall into, Jill was better able to help club presidents get to know the personality of their target audience and learned how to appeal to them," shared Eleni Callas, ASB Managing Commissioner. "We learned how to give a 30 second speech [about our clubs] that would leave the listener intrigued," Eleni continued.

Clubs represented in the training included:
American Asian Union
ASB/Student Government
Big Brothers, Big Sisters
Biology Club
CACIA
Film Club
Free the Slaves
Giving Tree
Journalism
Key Club
Kiva Club
Light Up the World
