STUDENT ACTIVITIES: day two of around the world

The Prep kicked off Around the World Day 2, celebrating Africa, Asia, India and the Middle East with many fun-filled “wild” activities, performances, and delicious food!  The day started off with some awesome performances by the martial art styling of the Chinese Association of Martial Arts (CAMA) from UC Irvine:

Up next we had a crazy beat boxing and break dancing performance by Korean B-boy team Definition Crew:

After the performances ended, the festivities outside began!

ROAR!! The king of the jungle graced our school with his presence! Major, a 450 pound African lion from Working Wildlife came to visit. Major has been in numerous television commercials and films, and will soon appear in "Water for Elephants," a major motion picture featuring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon. Mostly Major napped and enjoyed Fairmont's "paparazzi" photos:

We had a surprising and stunning visit from a mysterious snake charmer :

Beautiful henna tattoos accelerated the hype of this day:

On the lawn, there was sumo wrestling:

Lunch included delicious sushi catered by the Rolling Sushi Truck, Lebanese cheese pies and boba milk tea from Lollicup. Pastries from 85 Degrees Bakery were sold, and all profits will go to help relief efforts in Japan.

We had the pleasure of having DJ iTesh play music during lunchtime. We had an amazing Around the World day 2 and it will only get better next week so get ready!
