STUDENT ACTIVITIES: rarrrrr

The word is out - our special guest for Friday's Around the World festivities is an African lion! Major will join us for our lunch activities as we celebrate the regions of Africa, Asia, India & the Middle East. Students will be able to observe and take photos of Major, who is coming from Steve Martin's Working Wildlife, along with two trainers/handlers. Although Major will remain caged, students will be able to take photos and check out this amazing animal!

Major has appeared in a number of commercials, television shows, and movies - this photo is from a commercial shoot near Tejon Ranch:

Students are encouraged to dress in cultural attire on Friday, and those who do will be rewarded with first opportunities to meet Major and purchase lunch. Details on the dress code and other activities for the day can be found here.

Our 7th graders from Anaheim Hills, Edgewood and Mable will join us for the international festivities to get a glimpse of what life is like as a Husky.

  1. The lion says grarr! I don't know what that means, but I think it means "Nice School."
