COMMUNITY SERVICE: upcoming opportunities

Just because the school year is winding down doesn't mean there aren't incredible opportunities to serve the community and make a difference.

Denim Day
The first Friday of every month is a designated denim day for students who donate $5 to our monthly causes. The cause in May was the Kristie's Foundation which is dedicated to providing support, assistance and cherished moments to critically ill children and their families. Kristie’s focus is on end-of-life care for children and support for the family that loves them. For more information about Kristie's visit their website at Because of a generous donation from our National Honor Society members, the May Denim Day raised $484 for Kristie's.

This Friday, June 3rd is a Denim Day to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs. Mrs. Kunkle will be at the ticket booth before school to collect your donations. Thank you for your support!

Kristie's Foundation Festival
Permission slips are now available for the Kristie’s Foundation Family Festival Service Project on June 11th.  There are only 10 spaces available.  Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to work with this non-profit and earn 10 hours of service.  Stop by Mrs. Kunkle’s office with any questions or to get a permission slip.

Tickets are available via their website at If you like BBQ this is an amazing event.  Make sure to stop by the kids zone and say "Hi" to our students.  The Prep has been running the kids zone for the past 4 years.  Some of the booths we host are the cupcake decorating booth, coloring booth, recycled butterfly art, and more.  We hope you are able to attend.

Walk United
Join the Fairmont Huskies team for Walk United at Angel’s Stadium on Saturday, June 25th.  Permission slips are now available.  Stop by Mrs. Kunkle’s office with any questions or to get a permission slip.
