STUDENT ACTIVITIES: 2011 Homecoming Game

On Friday November 11th the Huskies took on Saddleback Valley Christian, in the final game of the season. This game was Fairmont’s Senior Night as well as the 2011 Homecoming Football Game. At the beginning of half time, senior TJ Williams was recognized and given a standing ovation from his fans.

Minutes after, the 2011 Homecoming Court arrived in convertible Corvettes and were crowned by their class advisor.  As soon as the Homecoming Queen’s name was announced breathtaking fireworks filled the sky. Unfortunately the Huskies suffered a loss, but Fairmont is very proud of the amount of heart our football players have showed and devoted to this season.

Congratulations to our 2011 Homecoming Court:

COMMUNITY SERVICE: Bringing Joy to a Child's Life

For the past 15 years, the Orange Coast Harley Owners Group and Orange County Harley-Davidson have organized a community toy drive to benefit CHOC Children's. They delivered thousands of Harley-Davidson toys to the hospital on Christmas Eve. But due to the limitations of the construction on the campus, they were not able to make their annual stop at the hospital. Since they did not want to deprive the children of the joy that the toys brought, they transformed their ride into a community toy drive, where Southern California residents could participate in this incredible service during the holidays.

Fairmont Prep is approaching its 12th annual toy drive to benefit the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Organized by Mrs. Kunkle and the CHOC Toy Drive Committee, the event will take place on Friday, December 9, 2011. The toys donated are given year-round to CHOC patients who spend weeks and months inside the hospital and to patients undergoing major surgery. Our greatest need is for infants or toddlers becase the majority of our patients are under 3 years of age, yet we still have a great need for patients of 13-18 years. All toys must be new and unwrapped. Our toys will be picked up at school by our business office staff people, Judy Coderre, and her friends from the Orange Coast Harley Davidson's Chapter on Friday, December 9 from 8:00 am to 8:30am. Here is a link to the Toy Drive wish list of the suggested items to buy: http://www.choc.org/childlife/index.cfm?id=P00212

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Anna Kunkle at (714) 999-5055, ext. 1605
