ACADEMICS: PSAT Testing

On October 17, all Sophomores and Juniors took the PSAT test. Although this test does not directly apply to students until Junior year, the Sophomores had the opportunity to practice with PSAT. On the other hand, this test is very important to the Juniors. The Preliminary SAT/ National Scholarship Qualifying Test, which is sponsored by College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, allows students to compete for recognition and possibly earn scholarships. In this National Merit Scholarship Competition, participants who qualify for recognition are entered into the competition, and depending on their score on the test, they may become finalists or scholarship winners. A total of 9,600 Scholarships are offered to high school students. This is a great opportunity for all high school students, and we hope our Huskies did well on the test!
