ARTS: FPA Yearbook Committee

This year, our FPA Yearbook Committee has worked endless hours to produce an inimitable work of art—the Prep Yearbook for the academic year of 2013-2014. From late-night deadlines to endless stacks of proofs, our yearbookers have dedicated time each week to compile students’ precious memories into one comprehensive story that the student body is sure to remember. This year’s theme is special, and it encompasses the entirety of the school year in a unique way. (Unfortunately, the theme has not been revealed to students, who have yet to receive their yearbooks.) It is important that we all recognize the committed, creative minds behind this amazing publication.

Being a part of the yearbook committee is something special in itself. Yearbookers acquire several important life skills in the process of taking upon such a large project. Such skills include improved teamwork, as well as perseverance and creativity. Junior Yusi Wang, a member of the copy staff of the committee, says, “think being in yearbook really helped me to delve into the school more. I need to attend events to write articles for yearbook, and that has brought me to attend many of the school's activities. Yearbook definitely causes us to be more involved in Fairmont!”  Essentially, members of the yearbook committee get more up-close and personal with school-wide events and the general student body in the process of conducting constant interviews, running around campus for photos and mug-shots, and searching through files of student photos for the perfect one to place in a spread.

Let us all commemorate our dedicated yearbookers for their hard work in weaving together the story of Fairmont Prep Academy, 2013-2014!
