A way to look back on all the fun times.
A compilation of the past years' memories.
A group of students dedicated to preserving ten months of high school.
A book to fill with signatures and personal messages from friends and teachers.

As the 2014-2015 school year comes to a close, we are all so focused on AP's, IB tests, and finals that the last few weeks fly by in a blur. Before we know it, our time is up, seniors are graduating, and the rest of us have made it through another year. When we finally take the time to slow down and evaluate ourselves over the past year, memories come flooding in, but not as quickly or easily, as we'd hope. A moment of panic ensues as we attempt to hold on to those fleeting memories with everything we've got. As they slowly slip from our grasp a dark cloud comes over us in the mourning of losing such precious memories.

But then the sun breaks through the clouds and shines down on all of us in the form of none other than a yearbook. A bound pile of simple papers swoops in and saves the day, for it is filled with memories frozen in time. Thanks to the yearbook, we are able to take a trip down memory lane and keep such a memorable time of our lives in our memories forever. Years from now we will look back at pictures of the first rally of the year, quotes from our favorite teachers, and be able to make fun of our less than perfect school id pictures. Either way, we are all set. Thank you to the members of the yearbook squad for creating such a priceless keepsake that we are sure to treasure for years and years to come.

FASHION: Prom Fashion Ideas

This year, many new styles are being worn that have never been worn before. For girls, two-
piece Prom dresses have become extremely popular. A short top with long skirt combine
together and look wonderful. Most dresses have intricate backings. The backs
are either cut low or cut with beautiful designs and generally have a plainer front. Backless
dresses are also very popular and beautiful. Nordstrom does not have as wide a variety
for Prom dresses this year as other stores, so keep that in mind. For boys, tuxedos are
extremely popular, along with suits. This year I know of many men not wearing the
traditional tux or 3-piece suit. Instead, they are wearing a very nice suit. Dress shoes are
mandatory and many tuxedo rental shops have shinier dress shoes to rent. Oxfords are
also very popular and trendy right now. Boys, make sure to match your date and that your pocket
square and tie or bow tie match everything!

Since Prom is in LA, it is also an option to go shopping for Prom attire in the LA Fashion District!

Have fun and be safe.

CLUB HIGHLIGHTS: Future Business Leaders of America

As Fairmont’s International Business program started off the 2014-2015 school year with a bang, the FPA Future Business Leaders of America likewise made substantial progress by attending their first conference.

This year, 8 students participated in the annual section conference held in Whittier High School. Placing 4th in the category- Economics, Alice Joo (12), the co-President of FBLA, said, “Through hard work and effort, I am sure FPA FBLA will do well!” The winner of the section conference in the category- Speech a year ago, Alice is the embodiment of what she had said.

Now with a budding interest in the field of business, Fairmont students will have the privilege to experience FBLA more closely with the IBP next year, as the club will merge with the aforementioned program in order to give students a more hand-on experience for their future business careers. Best wishes to both Fairmont’s International Business program and Future Business Leaders of America Club!
