12th Annual College Fair & Fall Preview
Fairmont Prep students and parents are cordially invited to attend Fairmont's 12th Annual College Fair on October 13th. Gain a competitive edge in college admissions by meeting face-to-face with representatives from the nation's top colleges. Last year's College Fair saw record attendance and you won't want to miss this opportunity to speak with representatives from over 85 colleges and universities.
The College Fair is open to the local community and prospective families. Feel free to share this event information with family and friends. Prospective families are invited to attend our Fall Preview information session to learn more about Fairmont Prep's unique variety of programs and and how we prepare students for college with highly individualized academic and college counseling.

Breakfast with a Counselor
Breakfast with a Counselor is an opportunity for parents and guardians to meet over breakfast with the Prep's counselors to discuss topics in their student's academic life. Click here to view a list of this year's sessions and topics. We hope you will join us!

College Application Timeline
The College Counseling Department has put together a timeline to help guide 12th grade parents and students through the major milestones, deadlines, and events in the college application process. Please be sure to confirm application deadlines with each school to which you choose to apply. Click here to view the timeline!

Community Service - Boys & Girls Club
Each year Prep students donate Halloween candy to several Orange County Boys & Girls Clubs. The drive will begin Monday, September 28th and will end on Friday, October 19th. This year candy donations will be delivered to the following Boys & Girls Clubs: Buena Park, Garden Grove, and Stanton. Students have received the candy drive flyer and should bring their donations to Mrs. Kunkle’s office, Room 101, and fill out the donation form for community service credit. Paws for a Cause!

Disneyland Dreamers & Doers Application
In honor of the Diamond Celebration, Disneyland Resort is proud to launch the Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers program. Deeply rooted in Disney’s commitment to supporting youth and the community, Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers celebrates the power of possibility and the youth who take action to improve their community, home, or school. Applications are due to Mrs. Kunkle by Friday, November 20th.

Prep Girls' Golf
Congratulations to Mylan Hirata for receiving a medal (lowest score) at the girls’ golf match against St. Margaret’s this past Tuesday.

Husky Vision
Last Friday’s September episode of Husky Vision is now available on YouTube and Vimeo! We have a whole new crew this year and they are excited to make their mark on Husky Vision’s 10th season! As always, the students thank you for your support and encouragement. The next episode will air on October 16th!

Spirit Week - Homecoming
To commemorate Homecoming, the Prep’s annual Spirit Week is packed full of fun activities, dress up days, food, and more! During this fun-filled week, Nutrition Management will be closed but food will still be available. Students are encouraged to pre-order food before October 2nd with the Spirit Week Order Form. Food will be limited during the week for those that did not pre-order and the price will increase by $1 per item. During Spirit Week, the Junior class will be hosting an intense game of Bubble Soccer. Students return the Participation to Play Form in order for to participate.

Transportation Department News
Due to the Parent Association’s Pitch Blast event on October 2nd, the Prep bus will depart from campus at 3:30pm. Students will need to be at the bus loading zone by 3:15 pm to board the bus. 

Travel Week 2015-2016 - Reschedule for Spring Break (March 27th - April 3rd)
Due to low enrollment and scheduling conflicts, Travel Week has been moved to the week of Spring Break, March 28th - April 1st, 2016. We hope you enjoy the additional week off with family. Fairmont Prep will be offering two great trips through Worldstrides: Peru and Florida. Trip information is in the process of completion and a flyer will be available in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you would like more information please contact Mrs. Kunkle, Travel Week Coordinator.
