Community Service - Box of Love Drive
Beginning on Monday, October 19th students will have the opportunity to bring a holiday meal to those less fortunate in Orange County. The mission of Canning Hunger is to motivate, recruit, train, equip, and deploy volunteers to help the disadvantaged. Help those less fortunate this holiday season by filling a “Box of Love” with traditional American holiday meal items.
1 Box of Love = 2 hours
2 Boxes of Love = 4 hours
3 Boxes of Love = 6 hours
Pick up your “Box of Love” and instruction envelope from Mrs. Anna Kunkle office, fill it, and return it by Friday, November 6th, 2015. Make sure all items are included in the box and don’t forget to fill out the community service slip. Paws for a Cause!

Girls’ Golf
The 2015 girls’ golf season has come to an end, and the Lady Huskies topped it off with a win against Saddleback Valley Christian Schools. The thirty stroke victory was highlighted by Ruby Anbari's best score in three seasons on the golf team. Mylan Hirata, Izzy Om, Michelle Lee, Claire Son, and Judy Anbari helped the team earn their fourth win of the season.
Mylan, Izzy, Michelle, and Ruby will compete Friday in San Clemente in the first round of post-season play, vying for spots in the CIF Southern Section Golf Championships later this month. When you see them, give them a high five and wish them well!
The boys’ golf season starts in February. Any boys wishing to play golf next year are encouraged to see Mr. Wheeler in Room 5.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place Wednesday, October 21st and Thursday, October 22nd. This is a great time for parents to meet with teachers, discuss class expectations, assignments, assessments, and student grades and performance. Whether your student is struggling or excelling, these conferences provide a venue for asking questions and getting feedback about your student’s progress and learning how to help him or her stay motivated.

Appointments are available for most teachers each day from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To schedule an appointment with a teacher, visit his or her Blackboard page and click on the Teacher Contact Info link on the left side of the page. Here, you can find the link for the Parent-Teacher Conference Sign-Up for this respective teacher. On the sign-up page, find the date and time you wish to schedule and click the sign-up button, then fill in the information on the next page to sign-up. If you need to change your scheduled appointment, contact the teacher.

Next week on Wednesday, October 21st, the Red Cross Club is going to “Carve Out a New Tradition” with this year’s blood drive.
